Throughout history, art has documented the atrocities of wars,
participated in propaganda campaigns, and served as an advocate for
social justice around the world. The aim of this book is to explore the
power of art to aid in resolving cultural and political conflicts,
to inspire a global discourse.
The book provides a ground breaking pioneering survey of 100 leading
and emerging global artists, curators and art practitioners that were presented
with the important question: can art aid in resolving conflicts?
Visually illustrated, these creative and thought-provoking perspectives
were analysed and provide a set of practical guidelines for an effective
employment of art in its multiple platforms for creating bridges across
cultures and political conflicts.
